What is TERATILE GP tile adhesive? +

TERATILE GP is a high-quality, polymer-based tile adhesive of Grade Type-II, C2TE*. It is designed for the permanent fixing of ceramic tiles, sandstone, and mint stone—including tiles sized 2”x4”—on both vertical and horizontal surfaces. It is suitable for internal applications and can also be used in damp and fully submerged conditions, such as swimming pools.

TERATILE GP can be applied on a variety of substrates, including:

  • Natural stone surfaces
What types of tiles are suitable for TERATILE GP? +

It is suitable for ceramic tiles, small-sized vitrified tiles, porcelain tiles, and porous stones. It performs exceptionally well as an adhesive for ceramic tiles, sandstone, and mint stone.

How should I prepare and apply TERATILE GP? +
  • Clean the surface from efflorescence, laitance, dirt, and loose particles
  • Lightly sprinkle water over the surface to moisten it.
  • Clean the backside of the tiles using a wire brush and rinse thoroughly.
  • Mix 20 kg of tile adhesive powder into 3.6 liters of clean water using an electric blender.
  • Apply the adhesive paste on both the tile and substrate using a notched trowel.
  • Comb the surface to ensure a firm grip between tile and base.
What is the coverage of TERATILE GP? +

Approximately 40 to 50 ft² per 20 kg at a 3 mm thickness. Coverage may vary depending on surface condition and application method.

What is the pot life and open time of TERATILE GP? +
  • Pot life at 27°C: Approximately 2 hours
  • Open time: More than 20 minutes
  • Adjustability time: More than 20 minutes

The shelf life is a minimum of 24 months when stored at room temperature (approximately 27°C).

  • Do not add extra water or powder once the adhesive has started setting.
  • Avoid skin contact as it is mildly acidic; rinse any splashes immediately.
  • In case of eye contact, wash thoroughly with water and seek medical help if needed.
